logo-shsaaJoining the SHSAA is easy and contributions to the Association are tax deductible to the extent allowed by Uncle Sam. The Stuyvesant High School Alumni Association is an exempt organization under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Our EIN is 13-3509279.

buttonA gift of $40 ($25 for students and retirees) qualifies you for Voting Membership in the Alumni Association.  The SHSAA offers several methods for our members to join and pay their dues:

 

Become a Member Online via Secure Credit Card: 
The Stuyvesant High School Alumni Association is proud to offer its members secure online credit card payments via Click & Pledge. Their gateway provides us with the latest security features to insure that information you send across the Internet cannot be read by others.

Become a Member via Phone:
Contact the SHSAA office at 212.312.4800 ext. 4711 where we will be happy to take your credit card information via the phone and process your request.

 

Become a Member via Postal Mail: 
Please make your check payable to the Stuyvesant High School Alumni Association (Note: Our EIN is 13-3509279) and write Contribution in the memo field. Please mail your check to:

Associate Membership
Associate members are all persons who have graduated from or attended Stuyvesant High School.  Associate members shall have no right to vote, to hold office in, or to serve on the Board of Directors of the SHSAA.

Voting Membership
Voting members are annual dues-paying associate members.  The membership year runs from July 1st to June 30th.  Voting members shall be eligible to vote in elections of the Association, serve on the Board of Directors, serve on committees of the Board, and hold office in the SHSAA.

stuystrutHonorary Membership
Honorary members are persons, selected by the SHSAA Board of Directors.   These individuals have made significant contributions to the Stuyvesant High School or the SHSAA but did not attend the School. Honorary members shall have no right to vote, to hold office in, or to serve on the Board of Directors of the Association.

There are many committees and opportunities for involvement for all alumni.  No matter what type of involvement you have with your alma mater -- serving on a committee, supporting Stuyvesant High School through annual contributions, or attending alumni events on a periodic basis -- the Stuyvesant High School Alumni Association is here to represent you.

Since the SHSAA membership year runs from July 1st to June 30th, we conduct our annual membership drive and fundraising event, the Mailathon, at the beginning of July.  Please renew your support for the Alumni Association when you receive our Mailathon letter!
